Each SLC loopsupports 127 devices of any combination (sensors ormodules), and 127 analog sounder bases, for apossible total of 254 points per loop. Communicationbetween devices is accomplished by use of standardcable (shielded or twisted pair is not required). Eachpanel includes a 4-amp power supply and has 2 on-board NAC circuits. The RS-485 bus providescommunication to the panel network while anotherRS-485 bus provides communication for peripheraldevices. The RS-232 interface allows the convenienceof programming via a PC. The system will support avariety of Hochiki devices; photo, ion and heatsensors, which contain a unique, patented sensordesign incorporating automatic drift compensation andday/night sensitivity modes. Additional devicesinclude contact monitors, relay controllers, supervisedauxiliary output and short circuit isolator modules. Inaddition, interfaces to conventional detection systemscan be established by using a conventional zone-monitoring module. The Loop Explorer Windows®Software interface provides the installer with fingertipaccess to installation programming and diagnostictools. An Auto Learn feature offers the conveniencefor quick start applications.
